I was tired of seeing all the chocolate cakes with unnecessary complexity. We don’t need buttermilk, or sour cream, or coffee, or anything else that you might not have in your home. You should have everything in this recipe in your house at all times or you should be ashamed.
Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans.
- 3. Mix ingredients together in a large bowl. Make sure water is boiling; batter will be thin.
- 4. Pour into prepared pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost as desired.
