Best marinade I’ve ever had. Great for chicken, beef, fish… vegetables? Great for grilling, baking, pan fry maybe?… just straight drinking it?
Ingredients
- 1/3 c. light oil
- 1/4 c. fresh lime juice (about 1 juicy lime)
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 4-5 green onions chopped
- 1 Tbsp fresh thyme
- 1 Tbsp garlic
- 2 Tbsp ginger
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 scotch bonnet or habanero pepper *
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp all spice
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Throw all the stuff in a good blender or food processor and run it until it’s a jerk marinade.
- Marinade whatever for 4-12 hours? Since its not very acidic maybe you could go longer, I don’t know.
* Notes
If you don’t want it too hot, remove the seeds and ribs from the pepper. If you cant handle any heat remove the pepper all together.
