Hello there! Here’s a Fresh meal that’s definitely worth trying out. And it’s easy-peazy.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3/4 lb (12oz) fresh green beans
- 1 lime
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 c. jasmine rice (you gotta cook that yourself)
- 4 Tbsp sweet Thai chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp mirin
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp powdered ginger
- 1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
- cilantro (garnish)
- crispy fried onion (garnish)
Directions
- Place a large skilled on medium-high heat and press the beef down into a flat even layer and don’t touch it until the bottom side starts to brown.
- In a small bowl, mix the Thai chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegary, mirin, cornstarch, garlic & ginger powders, and sesame oil. Use your tiny whisk to whisk until thoroughly whisked.
- Wash the green beans and cut them to roughly 2″ long pieces. Place in a microwave safe bowl with a splash of water and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave the beans for about 3 minutes.
- Break up the meat into pieces and cook until the beef is cooked through.
- Add the steamed green beans, butter, and the sauce mixture to the skilled. Mix and cook for 1-2 minutes until the beef is thoroughly coated.
- Removed from heat and squeeze 2 wedges of lime into the skilled. Mix in the lime juice and search over rice. Garnish with chopped cilantro and crispy fried onions.
