Oatmeal Cookies

Soft, chewy, and lightly spiced, these classic oatmeal cookies are the perfect balance of sweet and hearty. With simple ingredients like oats, butter, and brown sugar, they come together easily for a delicious homemade treat.

Ingredients

• 1 c. butter softened
• 1 c. brown sugar
• ½ c. sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1½ flour
• ½ tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ½ tsp nutmeg
• 1½ c. raisins
• ½ c. chopped walnuts
• 3 c. rolled oats
• ½ c. butter softened
• ½ c. brown sugar
• ¼ c. sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• ¾ flour
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
• ¾ c. raisins
• ¼ c. chopped walnuts
• 1½ c. rolled oats

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Beat butter, egg/s sugars and vanilla together until well homogenized.
  3. Mix in flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, walnuts and oats.
  4. Large portion scoop onto cookie sheets. With a wet hand, pat the cookies down slightly
  5. Bake 12ish minutes.

Other stuff

  • Cut some of the cinnamon and add some cardamom for more interesting flavor
