Mom’s Favorite Cheesecake Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 5 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Mix graham cracker, walnuts, and butter until combined. Press evenly into a 9″ pie pan. Bake at 375F for 5 minutes and remove from oven.
  2. Reduce oven temperature to 325F.
  3. Beat eggs until thickened. Add cream cheese, sugar and 1/2 tsp vanilla, and mix until blended. Pour into crust. Return to oven and bake 20 minutes more and remove from oven.
  4. Mix together sour cream, sugar, and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Spread on top of bottom layer. Return to oven for another 5 minutes and remove.
  5. Cool and chill before serving.
