Fluffy Challah French Toast

If you’re slicing your own loaf of challah and want larger pieces, I recommend slicing the loaf at a 45 degree angle. Because challah bread tends to be short and stout, slicing at an angle will give you nice and tall pieces.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 loaf sliced challah bread

How to make it

  • 1. Whisk eggs and milk into a small casserole dish with fork. Slowly whisk in the cinnamon, vanilla extract, sugar and flour until smooth.
  • 2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  • 3. Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated. Cook bread on each side until golden brown. Serve hot with toppings of your choice.
